Summer Mushing Handler

A handler’s primary responsibility is to help maintain the cleanliness of the kennel, assist guides with dogs, and to make sure everything is in its proper place so that tours can be run smoothly allowing.

Handler Respsonbilities

  • Keep Dog Lot Clean At All Times
  • Make Sure That Dogs Have Ample Water
  • Help Guests to & from Helicopter / Shuttle / Cart
  • Maintain Glacier Camp / Kennel Grounds
  • Help with general maintenance and site improvements
  • Scoop & Groom Trail

Minimum Job Requirements for Being a Handler

This is an entry level position. Experience working with the public and with dogs is preferred but not required.

Handler Physical Requirements

Working with sled dogs requires a great deal of physical strength. The ability to lift a 50lbs bag is essential.
