Antie is the oldest dog in our kennel, but you’d never know it just by looking at her. She’s a whooping 17 years old. Antie has earned the privilege of running loose and can often be seen meandering through the dog lot. Her favorite place to hang out in the kennel is near her best friend Pilot. These two love to curl up together, share the same house, and enjoy each other’s company.
Antie has earned the distinction of “Dog of the Week” because of her go-getter attitude. Even at 17 years old she still wants to run. Of course, at that age, we don’t hook her up in the team — but that hasn’t stopped her. Several times she has gotten so excited when we are hooking dogs up to take people out on rides that she has decided to follow along. Once, she even went for two runs in the same day!
Believe it or not, even at her age she can keep up with the team. She’s a spry old lady who, earlier this spring, saw that we left some kibble sitting in the wheel barrow. So what did she do? She hopped on in and helped herself!
We love Antie!
