Racing Schedule

Here it is! Our schedule for the 2024-2025 racing season. This year, Matt Riess and Ebbe Pedersen are joining the team Turning Heads Kennel. This is Matt’s second season with us. Matt will learn how to run sleds, help with tours, and keep the race teams going. Ebbe will run our young dogs in the Kuskokwim 300 and the Iditarod!

Our Schedule

December 2024

Knik 100

Our first race of the season will be the Knik 100. Held over two days of 50 miles each, this race starts just steps from our house.

Early January 2025

Knik 200

The first real test, the Knik 200 is a fast-paced event, with only 1 checkpoint at the halfway, this race really tests the dogs endurance and is a good litmus test as we prepare for the Kuskowim 300.

Kuskokwim 300

The end of January we will head to the Kuskokwim 300: the most prestigious 300 mile sled dog race in the world. This incredible event draws teams from all over to fly into western Alaska to race down the mighty Kuskokwim river.

March 2, 2025

The Iditarod

Our season culminates with the 1,000 mile long Iditarod. This year will mark Travis’ 11th race.
